Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Footprint ("the app"), provided by Foshan Gaoming Huiyang Network Technology Studio. By using the app you agree to these terms.

1. License

You may use the app under Apple's media services terms and these terms, for your own personal self-check of your own social media content.

2. What the app does

Footprint reads a social media data export that you import, analyzes the text of your own past posts on your device, and highlights items that may be worth a careful human re-read before a US visa application. It also provides an honest coverage report describing what was and was not analyzed.

3. Not legal advice; no outcome prediction

Footprint provides information to assist you. It is not immigration or legal advice. It does not predict whether a visa will be approved or denied, and it does not assign a risk score or rating. Review standards are broad and are applied at the discretion of the reviewing authority, and content that the app does not flag is not guaranteed to be "safe." For important decisions, consult a qualified immigration attorney or professional.

4. Honest use; do not misuse the app to mislead a review

You must not use the app, or any information it provides, to modify, conceal, or destroy information related to an application in order to mislead a review. Make sure everything is consistent and truthful with your DS-160 and any other application materials. The app provides neutral options only and never instructs you to delete or hide content; any action you take is your own decision and responsibility.

5. Coverage and limitations

The app analyzes text content only. Images, video, audio, and direct messages are not analyzed. Some items may be impossible to analyze conclusively (for example, due to length, language, or safety filtering); these are surfaced for your manual review and are never treated as "safe." Automated analysis can produce both false positives and false negatives.

6. Purchases

The scan, the coverage report, the total count of items worth a re-read, and the single highest-priority item are free. Viewing the complete list is a consumable in-app purchase for that scan (first scan at full price, repeat scans discounted). Apple manages price, tax, payment, refunds, and purchase history. Because the unlock is a consumable purchase, there is no purchase restore; reinstalling the app clears your local data and any unlocks.

7. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of your application, for reviewing your own content, and for any decisions you make. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the platform from which you exported your data.

8. Prohibited use

You may not use the app for unlawful purposes, to infringe rights, to reverse engineer or redistribute it without authorization, or to interfere with its operation.

9. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is." We do not guarantee analysis accuracy, completeness, fitness for any particular purpose, the acceptance of any application, or any outcome in any third-party or government process. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp., any social platform, or any government agency.

10. Changes

We may change the app or these terms. Important changes will be reflected on this page.
