Text posts are analyzed locally using Apple's on-device foundation models and an optional on-device model. Your content never leaves your Mac for analysis.
An honest coverage report
Footprint never claims your content is "safe." It shows what was parsed, what was deep-analyzed, what could not be analyzed, and what was excluded (media and direct messages).
Review priority, not risk scores
Items are sorted by how much a careful human re-read may help — never by a denial probability or risk rating.
Neutral guidance, not advice
For each item, Footprint explains why it may be worth a second look and lists neutral options. It never tells you to delete or hide anything, and it is not legal advice.
Private by default
No account, no ads, no third-party analytics, no cross-app tracking. Imported data and results are stored locally and can be deleted at any time.

Pricing
The scan, the full coverage report, the total number of items worth a re-read, and the single highest-priority item are free. Viewing the complete list is a one-time purchase for that scan (first scan at full price, repeat scans discounted). There are no subscriptions and no accounts. Report unlocks are consumable purchases, so there is no restore, and reinstalling clears your local data and unlocks.
Privacy
Private by default
Your imported posts are analyzed on your Mac and are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted. The only network use is a one-time download of the optional on-device model and Apple's StoreKit for purchases. Footprint is not affiliated with X Corp., any social platform, or any government agency, and it is not legal or immigration advice.
