Privacy Policy

SetMuse is developed by Foshan Gaoming Huiyang Network Technology Studio. This policy describes the SetMuse iPhone and iPad app.

Information in your studio

Client names, contact details, preferences, appointment dates, visit notes, color recipes and imported photos are stored on your device. SetMuse has no account system or developer-operated backend. We do not receive or collect your studio records. The app contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK.

You decide what to record. Please obtain any necessary permission before storing another person's details or photos.

Photos and reminders

You choose photos through Apple's system photo picker. SetMuse processes the selected image on your device, resizes it and creates a JPEG without the original photo metadata. The app does not scan or upload your photo library.

Appointment reminders are optional local notifications. The app asks for notification permission when you choose to enable a reminder. Reminder text does not contain your client's name. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Apple processes subscription purchases and handles billing details under its own privacy policy. SetMuse uses StoreKit to verify your subscription and provide access to Pro features. We do not receive your payment card details. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your existing studio records.

Files, device backups and sharing

There is no automatic in-app cloud sync. Your iOS device backup may include SetMuse data, depending on your Apple settings. Files that you choose to save to iCloud Drive or another provider are handled by that provider.

A full SetMuse backup contains client details, notes, appointments and photos. Keep it private. Set cards and lookbook PDFs exclude client names, contact details, private technique notes and next-visit ideas. Their photos, titles and recipes may still reveal information that you entered, so review a PDF before sharing it.

Deleting and restoring information

You can delete a visit from its options menu or delete a client together with their visits, photos and appointments. Removing the app removes its local app data according to iOS behavior. Backups or PDFs you previously exported, device backups, and the app's pre-restore copy must be managed separately.

Before replacing your studio with a backup, SetMuse keeps a local pre-restore copy. If an unreadable studio is recovered from backup, the unreadable original is retained locally. These copies help prevent accidental data loss; they are not sent to us. We cannot remotely retrieve or recover your studio.
